También descubrimos que existe otro grave problema en las tierras altas de Etiopía, en donde la población ha usurpado las montañas, forzando a las especies a huir hacia los picos restantes. Por otra parte, los osos polares que intentaban cazar a una morsa en otro episodio de Planeta Tierra, se sienten hambrientos. Ello se debe a que el clima caldeado está reduciendo los islotes de hielo en los que los osos polares cazaban habitualmente a las focas. ¿Pero existe realmente un problema? Ahmed Djoghlaf, secretario ejecutivo del grupo de las Naciones Unidas sobre diversidad biológica, nos explica el índice de extinción.
